adaptation of the <strong>myth of Isis and Osiris<\/strong>, which\u00a0is the most elaborate and influential story in\u00a0ancient Egyptian mythology.\u00a0The myth, with its <strong>complex symbolism<\/strong>, is integral to ancient Egyptian conceptions of kingship and\u00a0succession, <strong>conflict between order and disorder,<\/strong> and especially <strong>death and the\u00a0afterlife<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Jean Houston, internationally renowned philosopher, psychologist, the myth of Isis and Osiris &#8220;<em>takes us deep into the mysteries of Egypt, land of the ancient soul within us all, (&#8230;) and gives modern readers <strong>a design for the marriage of body and soul, life and death, the tangible and the hidden<\/strong>.
